New Orleans Trip: WWII Museum, USS Kidd

When: RESCHEDULED to Presidents Day Weekend, 16-19 February 2018

Where: Louisiana - Baton Rouge and New Orleans

What: Among other things, stay overnight on a WWII US Navy destroyer in Baton Rouge and visit the WWII Museum in New Orleans!

How: Depart Friday, 16 February, for Meridian, MS, for an overnight stay. Head to New Orleans on Saturday for the museum, hopefully grab some good N'awlins "groceries", and stay with a local church. Wake up, go to church, take in some sights, then off to Baton Rouge to stay on the USS Kidd that night. Hit the road early Monday and return (hopefully) before 4 on Monday (scouts should plan to bring their homework for the ride home). For activities, meals, lodging and transportation, expect about $150 per person.

Who: You! and we'll need drivers.

Why: When was the last time you spent the night on a Navy ship? Have you ever been to New Orleans? If so, then you should want to go back. If anything, go to hang out with us.

PS - If you are staying in Huntsville, plan to participate in the bridging ceremony for Pack 361 and Scout Sunday!
