Who wants to go whitewater rafting? Who wants to go horseback riding? Who wants to do both? In August, you have the choice! We are planning on whitewater expedition on the Nantahala River with the Whitewater Express company. They are well-oriented with scouts, and they offer a horseback riding merit badge, as well! We will drive there on Friday night to camp, and get up early on Saturday to raft. Later that afternoon, we will take a horseback ride conducted by an approved merit badge counselor, so you will earn the horseback riding merit badge. We will return on Sunday morning, but due to the long drive, we will not make it back for 0900 mass! Total price will be $115, which includes food and gas for the drivers.
