Navigating outdoors is an important Scout skill. Using a map and compass, finding directions, and knowing how to read the terrain will help keep you from getting lost. We’re giving you a chance to learn some of these skills (or just brush up on them) on 4-5 May at Monte Sano.

We’ll start with a Friday night campout, then a hearty breakfast, followed by learning the basics and then testing your skills on an orienteering course. Then we’ll return back to Holy Spirit Saturday afternoon.

This will be a good opportunity for scouts who need requirements for the junior ranks, and an opportunity for the more senior scouts to test their skills.
